Our school-age swimming lessons focus on physical, intellectual and personal development. Children establish a lifelong appreciation for safe activity in the water and learn vital survival skills not just for the pool but for rivers, lakes and the ocean.
Children will learn to:
- cooperate with and respect others in an aquatic environment;
- develop and refine swimming strokes;
- make safe and sensible decisions and solve problems in and around water.

- watch the lesson;
- stay within viewing distance of the lesson, with no visual or physical barriers between you and the class;
- come to the edge of the pool at the end of the lesson and collect your child;
- if your child is participating in general swimming outside their lesson time and is still under five years of age, you will need to ensure you are in the water with them during this time;
- for children 10 and older, you'll need to decide if your child needs a direct handover to or collection from the teacher. Base this on their swimming ability and general development.
