Our swimming lessons focus on safety first, with particular attention focused on teaching techniques that may one day save a life.
Children learn to become more independent in the water and begin to develop important water survival skills.
Children will learn skills in:
- basic stroke development;
- body orientation;
- personal and water safety;
- propulsion and submersion.

Prices
The below prices apply across all swimming levels. Payment is taken fortnightly by direct debit, with the total cost spread out across the year.
Swimming lessons are 30 minutes in length.
Squad lessons at Brunswick Baths run for either 45, 60, or 75 minutes.

How to enrol
Submit a swimming lessons enquiry and a member of our team will be in touch to start the enrolment process. -
Requirements for this program
- Children in nappies must wear aqua nappies that are tight fitting around the thighs (you can buy them in centre)
- Bring swimwear, towel, goggles (recommended but not required) and dry clothes
- Parents should bring swimwear during the first few lessons, in case the child gets upset and needs support in the water
- Photos are allowed in the pool (but never in the change room area) – please respect others' privacy and get their consent

Safety and handover requirements
To provide a safe environment for your child please:
- come to the edge of the pool at the start of the lesson and directly hand over your child to the teacher;
- watch the lesson;
- stay as close as possible to the lesson (for example by sitting in the chairs around the pool);
- come to the edge of the pool at the end of the lesson and collect your child;
- if your child is participating in general swimming outside their lesson time, you will need to ensure you are in the water with them during this time.
