From high intensity workouts to more relaxed water exercise – our qualified staff are on hand to help you find a class that will help you achieve your goals. Group fitness classes
Queer friendly inclusive fitness training. Designed for the LGBTQ+ community and their allies. Strength and Cardio based classes run by a qualified instructor in a private and welcoming space.
Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. It's a combination of fitness and dance moves on swinging Latin music. It's easy to do, fun, and before you know it, you’re getting fit and your energy levels are soaring.
A low impact class which incorporates weight resistance training, improving cardiovascular fitness, bone density, muscle strength and muscle tone.
A low-impact class that offers a variety of exercises designed and conducted in a controlled environment under the management of a highly skilled trainer, the class focuses on exercises to increase muscular strength, range of movement, and activities for daily living. It is a great class for seniors and for people who have a chronic illness.
A unique combination of gentle and easy to follow movements, stretches, mindfullness, breath and relaxation. It improves the functioning of virtually all of the systems of the body.
A class which uses the ViPR training tool to bridge the gap between movement and strength. The ViPR tool combines a traditional resistance workout together with the physical agility needed for an optimal sports or fitness performance, easily making the ViPR the most innovative fitness breakthrough in years.
Yoga is a flexibility and strength building class that focuses on breathing techniques, physical flowing movement, postures and meditation exercises intended to integrate body, mind, and spirit. You'll leave the class feeling relaxed, rejuvenated and centred. Regular yoga practice is said to increase overall physical and mental health.
Adrenaline HIT is a high-intensity interval training program designed for everyone. These small group training sessions utilise our functional training and outdoor areas, where participants will get to learn new exercises and use state-of-the-art equipment under guidance from our qualified Adrenaline HIT coaches demonstrating correct technique. This program is an additional paid service to a standard membership.
A Les Mills choreographed sports-inspired cardio workout for building strength and stamina. This high-energy interval training class combines athletic aerobic movements with strength and stabilisation exercises.
A Les Mills pre choreographed class that combines Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates techniques to build flexibility and strength, leaving you feeling centred and calm. Controlled breathing, concentration and a carefully structured series of stretches, moves and poses to music to create a holistic workout that brings the body into a state of harmony and balance.
A Les Mills pre-choreographed class with an empowering and fiercely energetic music cardio workout inspired by martial arts. Strike, punch and kick your way through calories to superior cardio fitness with a powerful role model instructor as your guide.
The cardio workout where you are free to enjoy the sensation of dance. An addictive fusion of the latest dance styles and hottest new sounds puts the emphasis as much on having fun as breaking a sweat.
The energising step workout that makes you feel liberated and alive. Using a height adjustable step and simple movements on, over and around it, you'll push fat-burning systems into high gear.
Cardio boxing uses a combination of shadowboxing and/or hitting the bag with continuous cardio movements such as high knees, burpees, push-ups that will increase your strength and teach you to control your heart rate.
A land-based class to music designed to increase muscular endurance, strength and flexibility. Specifically designed for people with limited mobility. The class is normally taken seated in a chair. Catered for people over 50 years of age, but all are welcome.
A form of body conditioning using endurance and resistance training. It targets strength building and muscular endurance. The core objective of circuit training is to increase muscle strength, endurance, flexibility and coordination. As the intensity of the workout is based on the participant, it can accommodate the beginner to the advanced and burn a high amount of calories accordingly
A high intensity exercise class performed on stationary bikes. It will increase your fitness level, burn fat, tone and shape your legs, hips and butt.
Get active with your kids as part of family Zumba. A high energy aerobic class designed to get both the grown ups and the kids moving. Classes are suitable for adults of any age, and children aged between four and 12 years.
This is a modern version of classic balletic training; a workout designed to shape and tone postural muscles, build core strength, and allow you to escape the everyday. Incorporating classic ballet positions, with modern music, LES MILLS BARRE is a combination of cardio and strength with high reps of small range-of-motion movement and very light weights.
A dynamic workout that hones in on your abs, glutes, back and obliques. This is the ultimate way to get a tight and toned core.
Specifically for patrons who require rehabilitation. The class is conducted in a controlled environment under the management of a highly skilled trainer who provides supervision, help with technique, form, variation and progression for exercises. Prior to starting, patrons would receive a face to face session with our trainer to obtain a personalized program for the class. Lift for Life is an additional paid service to a standard membership.
A weight training program focusing on improving muscle strength, flexibility and balance. This program is endorsed by the Council on the Ageing.
Pilates will assist in strengthening your core and improving your flexibility, by focusing exercises on correct body alignment, breathing, lengthening and strengthening your muscles. Due to the nature of this class and the focus on core strength this class is not suitable for pregnant women.
This class focuses on posture, strengthening and toning the muscles that are under strain throughout your pregnancy and then retraining and toning muscles back to strength and shape after the birth of your baby. Regardless of whether you are expecting or have just recently had a baby, this class can deliver optimal fitness and health.
A Les Mills pre-choreographed stationery cycling class that will be similar at every centre you go to. Great for shaping and toning your lower body while improving your fitness.
A Les Mills program featuring simple but seriously hot dance moves. The perfect way to shape up!
These classes include stretches for the entire body and conclude with a relaxation segment. Balance your workout routine with flexibility training for enhanced sports performance and reduced risk of injury.
Water workout classes
A low impact water exercise class designed to increase mobility and improve cardiovascular fitness with minimal stress on the joints. Specially designed for people over 50 years of age, but all welcome.
Incorporating deep and shallow water running with intense interval work. A great cross training class.
- Must be 16 years of age and over (unless an Active Youth member).
- Bring a towel and drink bottle.
- Wear appropriate gym attire / swimming costume and goggles that you can move freely in.
- Arrive at the scheduled class time. Arrivals later than five minutes will not be permitted to enter the class.
- Class sizes are limited, so arrive early to avoid disappointment.
- We recommend you check with your doctor before starting any group fitness classes.
- Please inform your instructor prior to the class beginning if you are pregnant, have any injuries or medical conditions.
