Moreland Council offers a number of different locations across the municipality where outdoor gym equipment can be incorporated into your walking circuit or a trip to the local park with the kids.
Please note that this equipment is not to be used by children under 12 years of age.
ATC Cook Reserve
Located in Ash Court, Glenroy near the Glenroy Tennis and Bowls Clubs, Cook Reserve offers a walking track with outdoor gym equipment.
Try out the Kompan Bloqx climbing unit - the biggest in Australia - down at Barkly Square behind the shopping centre, Barkly Street, Brunswick. Come and test out your climbing skills! There's also a basket swing, spinner and slide unit.
Newly beautified, Brearley Reserve, Heliopolis Street, Pascoe Vale South includes a path network including outdoor equipment pieces along the way. Complete a circuit whilst the kids play on the newly refurbished play equipment.
CB Smith Reserve
Moreland Council has recently installed outdoor gym equipment within the sports and community precinct at CB Smith Reserve, Jukes Road in Fawkner. It consists of 3 stations that make up a fitness loop for the local community to challenge themselves on.
Complete a walk of Coburg Lake and stop to include some rowing, cycling and shoulder work. Close to the Newlands Road carpark.
Installation of outdoor equipment and playground plus beautification of the surrounds is currently under construction. Watch this space for updates.
Anyone for table tennis? Come down to Gilpin Reserve, Albert Street, Brunswick and try the new outdoor table tennis table. Bring along you own bats/balls, friends and have a game.
