Recreation Access Program (RAP) for people with a disability

The program runs on weekends leaving from Coburg Leisure Centre and is taken by qualified leaders. Participants will take part in a range of activities suitable for everyone, including:

  • sports and recreation activities
  • festivals
  • markets
  • museums and Melbourne landmarks
  • sporting events such as A-league and AFL matches.


To be eligible for the RAP program participants must be:

  • Moreland residents
  • age 16 years +
  • have a mild to moderate intellectual disability
  • be living at home with non-professional carers.

Staff leaders

All RAP staff leaders are experienced in leading group excursions and are qualified in:

  • First Aid
  • Anaphylaxis
  • Working with Children Check.

Program information

The program runs mainly on Saturdays and times and costs will vary depending on the activity. This information is available on the RAP Activity Schedule and Application Form.

Programs will depart from Coburg Leisure Centre, Bridges Reserve, Bell Street, Coburg. RAP staff leaders will sign in participants as they arrive and sign them out as they depart.
