The Coburg Cricket Club is proud to announce Susan Alberti AO as the number one ticket holder of Coburg Cricket Club. Susan Alberti AO is a long-time supporter of women playing sport and is the Vice President of the Western Bulldogs AFL team and is heavily involved in supporting women in football.
Susan has sponsored the Victorian Women's Football League (VWFL) since 2007 and currently supports the female umpire academy. The VWFL Premier Division Cup is named in her honour. She has also supported a range of projects to further advance women in sport and helped fund champion Australian female sprinter Melissa Breen in 2014.
Susan Alberti AO is a well renowned philanthropist who works tirelessly through the Susan Alberti Medical Research Foundation to raise money and awareness for medical research, particularly type 1 diabetes.
Coburg Cricket Clubs President, Don Hudson said, "It is fantastic having Susan Alberti on board and I believe this is a first for any premier cricket club to have such a prominent Australian involved".

Later in the year Coburg Cricket Club celebrate their 160th anniversary of their establishment. With the 'home grown' ladies cricket teams at the club, ably coached by Catherine Morrow, represented in the Cricket Victoria Premier Seconds competition, they have recently been successful winning both the T20 and One Day competitions. The club is eager to earn promotion to the competitions highest grade next season.
