Primary school program outline

The Australian Department of Health recommends children aged 5 to 12 years to be participating in at least 60 minutes of moderate to high intensity physical activity every day. According to the 2016 Australian Early Development Census (AEDC), Moreland children who are developmentally on track have had a significant decrease in the domain of physical health and wellbeing.

In addition to this, primary school students will need to be able to swim 50 metres by the end of primary school under new curriculum benchmarks.

Active Moreland Leisure and Aquatic facilities offer a range of programs and services that provide children with a fun and safe environment to develop a positive association with health and physical activity.

We offer the delivery of programs and services within our leisure centres or alternatively at your school.
